Academic Requirements:
Applicants wishing to apply for this programme must meet the following
essential criteria:
Hold current first level NMC registration.
Hold a minimum of a diploma in higher education (nursing or midwifery) or
have the equivalent 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5 in a
cognate subject (subject related to nursing or midwifery).
Provide evidence of recent academic study and commitment to own professional
development.
Demonstrate commitment to and motivation for the development of Specialist
Community Public Health Nursing Practice (health visiting /school nursing).
Demonstrate the ability to plan, prioritise and manage own learning.
Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and personal organisational skills.
Hold a valid driving licence.
Have access to a car for practice placement.
Must be prepared to travel to any practice placement within the North Wales
Area.
Form outside UK Students:
Academic Requirements:
Year 1:
* Higher Secondary Certificate (75% minimum) and an approved foundation course.
* Higher National Diploma: Higher Secondary Certificate with a GPA of 4.5.
* Integrated Masters of Engineering – MEng (Hons): Diploma pass – 70% minimum.
* Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 26 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses
Year 2:
* A three year bachelor's degree with a score of 55%.
Year 3
* Applications for advanced entry onto the third year of an undergraduate
degree course will be decided on a case-by-case basis. The course which you
are currently studying must also closely match the one to which you are
applying for.
