Academic Requirements:

All students must be current childcare practitioners and have at least ten hours a week paid or voluntary work within the childcare sector, preferably with children who are ‘looked after’. If you have no relevant employment experience you are advised in the first instance to have an informal discussion with one of our tutors.
You must also be able to negotiate time away from your workplace to attend lectures (approximately twelve days each academic year).
A-level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or an NVQ level 3 related to working with children and young people.
A GCSE English/Welsh (First Language) (grade C/4 or above) or equivalent. Appropriate AS-level and Level 3 Key Skills qualifications will also be taken into account.
You must have access to a computer and internet connection.
Completion of the university application form
All candidates will be interviewed.

Year 1:

* Higher Secondary Certificate (75% minimum) and an approved foundation course.

* Higher National Diploma: Higher Secondary Certificate with a GPA of 4.5.

* Integrated Masters of Engineering – MEng (Hons): Diploma pass – 70% minimum.

* Holders of the International Baccalaureate Diploma with 26 points or more will be considered for direct admission to Bachelor degree courses

Year 2:

* A three year bachelor's degree with a score of 55%.

Year 3

* Applications for advanced entry onto the third year of an undergraduate degree course will be decided on a case-by-case basis. The course which you are currently studying must also closely match the one to which you are applying for.

* India Standard XII – 65% minimum from all state boards.

* Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with 60% minimum (including MEng).

*  Successful completion with (Intermeddiate Part 1) - 60% with passes in minimum 4 subjects,.

* Year 12 (HSC) or Polytechnic Diploma - 50% overall with passes in minimum of 4 subjects (40% in relevant subjects must be taken from year assessd).

* Excellent Higher Secondary School Certificate, intermediate or FA/FSc (70%+)

* Two year bachelors degree with a minimum of 60%

* Excellent results required from a three year degree from a recognised institution. You will need a minimum of 60% from a three year bachelor degree for second year entry. This will be decided on a case-by-case basis and your course must closely match the one to which you are applying for.
