A first or upper second-class Honours degree in any discipline (some law content recommended). Entry may be possible with other qualifications, especially where the applicant’s work experience is relevant to the course.

Please note: a Law degree is not a prerequisite for entry to this course

Graduates from public universities and Tier 1 private universities with a 60% (3.0/4 GPA) will be considered for entry. Students of other private universities will be considered on a case by case basis.

Academic Requirements:

For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution. Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc. Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.

Academic Requirements:

Diplomë universitare is insufficient for entry. Kandidat i Shkencave (Candidate of Sciences), Masters level will be considered. A score of 8.5-9.5 from a well ranked public institution is considered comparable to a UK 2.1 while a score of 8-8.5 is considered comparable to a UK 2.2.
