Academic Requirements:

A-levels: ABB/BBB. We may consider two AS-levels in place of one A2-level. General Studies accepted.
EPQ with A-levels: BBB + EPQ at grade B.
GCSE: Five subjects at grade C/4 to include English Language, Mathematics or Statistics, and a science (acceptable science subjects are Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Science or Additional Science).
Access to HE Diploma: Strong Science based course is preferred. Pass with 45 credits at Level 3 with 30 credits at distinction, plus GCSEs as above.
International Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 30 points overall. Must include a minimum of grade 4 in SL Maths or grade 3 in HL Maths, grade 4 in a science and English if subjects not held at GCSE.
BTEC Nationals: Applied Science or Health and Social Care preferred. Pass Extended Diploma with DDM, plus GCSEs as above in all cases. Subsidiary Diploma and Diploma may be considered in addition to supplementary qualifications.
T Levels: Merit. Please contact our Admissions Team for full details of T Levels accepted.

If you have successfully completed a three-year Bachelors (undergraduate) degree at a Bangladeshi university, with good grades, you may be considered for entry to the first year of a Bachelors degree.

If you do not meet the entry requirements for one of our courses, you can apply for an International Foundation Year run by the Global Study Centre. The GSC provides academic support to help you progress to your chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Leicester.

Academic Requirements:

If you have completed the standard XII awarded by the CISCE/CBSE, or another recognised state exam board, with at least 75% overall, you may be considered for admission to a first year Bachelors degree. For many courses at the University of Leicester, you will need 80% overall or higher, along with higher individual marks of 85% in relevant subjects.

If you have already completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at an Indian university, you may be considered for entry to the first or second year of a Bachelors degree if you have studied relevant subjects and/or modules. We also have progression arrangements with some partner institutions in India, which allow advance entry to certain University of Leicester courses. If you have completed (or will complete) the Certificat d' Enseignement Secondaire Superieur (French) or Diploma van Secundaire Onderwijs (Dutch/Flemish speakers) you will typically need a pass of 75% overall to begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree (depending on the subject that you wish to study).

If you have completed the European Baccalaureate then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree. 85% would be the equivalent to a grade A in a British A-level; 77% would be equivalent to a grade B.
