Academic Requirements:

Minimum second-class (2:2) Honours degree or international equivalent in computer science or a closely related discipline.

Significant programming experience, preferably in a programming language e.g. Python, Java, C++, etc. The majority of modules will use Python.

Those with other discipline degrees, who have significant programming experience, should contact us to discuss applying for this course.

English language requirements
You must have an English language minimum score of IELTS 6.0 (with no component below 5.5).

We offer comprehensive English language courses for students whose IELTS scores are below 6.0.

Form outside UK Students:

Academic Requirements:

Graduates from public universities and Tier 1 private universities with a 60% (3.0/4 GPA) will be considered for entry. Students of other private universities will be considered on a case by case basis.

Academic Requirements:

For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a recognised Indian institution. Although 60% is a general entry requirement we understand that the marking system in some states and national universities make it harder to achieve 60%, therefore we will accept 55% from University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, University of Delhi etc. Graduates from the IITs and IIMs will also be considered with marks in the region of 55%. If you wish to apply for a research degree you'd normally have to have a Masters degree and some experience of research work.
