Academic Requirements:

Admission to the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) normally requires a Masters degree from a recognised academic institution. In addition, all applicants are required to provide evidence of significant professional or managerial experience.

All applicants must be able to access organisations to conduct their research. This will normally be your employing organisation but may include others. Access to support for the research study is essential in terms of initial selection and for the duration of the programme.

Applications must include two references on headed paper from your referees which should be uploaded as a supporting document. Please note, we can not accept applications without these two references. At least one referee should be able to comment on your academic/professional ability. References provided by relatives are not acceptable.

You are required to provide a detailed doctoral research proposal prior to the acceptance stage. All applications will be considered by the University’s Research Applications Panel. Once your research proposal has been submitted and approved, you will be subject to a formal interview; this may be a panel interview.

* Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) with A grade

* HSC scores with one or two B grades may be accepted on Business courses but would need to be considered on an individual basis for more specific subject areas

* Students below A grade (HSC) will be considered for a Foundation Course

* Applicants who have followed the A-Level curriculum can be considered for degree level entry- the normal UCAS tariff will be applied

* Undergraduate entry for applicants who have an overall average of 65% and above in the year 12 Intermediate (HSC) in a relevant subject area.

* Applicants with a 2 year Bachelor degree with 55% and above plus IELTS 6.0 or equivalent will be considered for advanced entry to year 2 or of a Bachelor degree depending on the subject area in question and the module match.

* There are a number of colleges in Pakistan which deliver HND qualifications from a number of awarding bodies. These can be considered for advanced entry onto a Bachelor degree on a case by case basis depending on the subject area in question and the module match.

* Students who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate in year 12 from CBSE (Central Board of School Education), HSC (Higher Secondary Certificate), NEB (National Education Board) or HSEB (Higher Secondary Education Board of Nepal) with a grade of 65% or above will be considered for direct entry onto an Undergraduate Degree.

* Applicants who have a CGPA of 2.8 or above will be considered for year 1

* Schooling certificate must be from Kathmandu

* Applicants who study the Edexcel or Cambridge A Level curriculum will follow the normal UCAS tariff.
