Academic Requirements:

A-levels: BCC or points equivalent from your best three A-levels. You must have taken Maths or Physics at A-level.
GCSE: Grade C/4 in English.
BTEC Diploma: DDM in a science related subject, which must include appropriate maths and science content. You may be required to take an additional maths assessment test.
International Baccalaureate: Pass diploma with 26 points minimum, and must include appropriate maths and science content.
Access to HE: Pass diploma with 24 Distinctions in a science related subject, which must include appropriate maths and science content. You may be required to take an additional maths assessment test.

Form outside UK Students:

If you are studying A-levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree. Please see individual course pages.

If you have successfully completed a three-year Bachelors (undergraduate) degree at a Bangladeshi university, with good grades, you may be considered for entry to the first year of a Bachelors degree.

If you do not meet the entry requirements for one of our courses, you can apply for an International Foundation Year run by the Global Study Centre. The GSC provides academic support to help you progress to your chosen undergraduate degree at the University of Leicester.

Academic Requirements:

If you have completed the standard XII awarded by the CISCE/CBSE, or another recognised state exam board, with at least 75% overall, you may be considered for admission to a first year Bachelors degree. For many courses at the University of Leicester, you will need 80% overall or higher, along with higher individual marks of 85% in relevant subjects.

If you are studying A-levels or the International Baccalaureate (IB) then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree. Please see inidvidual course pages for entry requirements.

If you have already completed the first year of an undergraduate degree at an Indian university, you may be considered for entry to the first or second year of a Bachelors degree if you have studied relevant subjects and/or modules. We also have progression arrangements with some partner institutions in India, which allow advance entry to certain University of Leicester courses. Please contact the International Office for further information.

    *  Achieving Plus 2 with a minimum of 55%

For standard entry to our Bachelor's programmes, you will need to have met the following:
    *  A High School Certificate with a minimum of 65% (75% for Law, Architecture)
    *  English language requirements

Some Bachelor's degrees allow advanced entry to year 2 or year 3, depending on your study history.

For advanced entry to Year 2 you will need to complete:
    *  First year of three bachelors with a minimum of 65%

For advanced entry to Year 3 you will need to complete:
    *  Second year of three bachelors with a minimum of 65%

Academic Requirements:

If you have completed (or will complete) the Certificat d' Enseignement Secondaire Superieur (French) or Diploma van Secundaire Onderwijs (Dutch/Flemish speakers) you will typically need a pass of 75% overall to begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree (depending on the subject that you wish to study).

If you have completed the European Baccalaureate then you can begin from the first year of a Bachelors degree. 85% would be the equivalent to a grade A in a British A-level; 77% would be equivalent to a grade B.
