A level: 104–112 points, to include a minimum of 2 A levels and preferably from one of the following subjects: Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Psychology, Geography, Geology, Applied Science, Use of Maths, Applied Science, Biology or Human Biology, Statistics, Science in the Environment, Design Technology. General Studies not accepted.

IB: 26–27 points overall from an International Baccalaureate to include science/technology-related subjects. English and mathematics must be included.

BTEC: 18 Unit BTEC National Diploma/QCF Extended Diploma: DMM preferably from a science/technology related subject (applied science, animal management, countryside management, forensic science).

We require applicants who have taken the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC)/Intermediate Certificate to successfully complete an international foundation year or equivalent. Our partner college on campus, University of Plymouth International College (UPIC), offers a wide variety of foundation courses.

You can apply to study a bachelor's degree from year one if you have a Bachelors degree from a recognised Bangladeshi institution, with at least two years of study.

Academic Requirements:

Applicants with the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) will normally require an international foundation course or equivalent for entry onto an undergraduate degree programme at the University. Generally, an overall average of 75% is required. Our partner college on campus, University of Plymouth International College (UPIC), offers a wide variety of foundation courses.

Applicants with the HSSC with an overall average of 75% and a Bachelor (Pass) degree with a minimum of 60% will be considered for entry onto undergraduate degree programmes. Applications will be considered on a case by case basis.

We require applicants to have completed a Diploma van Secundair Onderwijs OR a Diploma van de Hogere Secundaire Technische School from the Flemish speaking community.

We require applicants to have completed a Abschlusszeugnis der Oberstufe des Sekundarunterrichts from the German speaking community.

We require applicants to have completed a Diplôme d'Aptitude à Accéder à l'Enseignement Supérieur or the Certificat d'Enseignement Secondaire Supérieur from the French speaking community when awarded after six years of study. The most common marking schemes are 1 to 10 and 1 to 20.

Academic Requirements:

We require applicants to have completed the West African Senior School Certificate with a minimum of C6 or above (in English and Maths) and the West African General Certificate of Education Advanced Level with good overall grades to be considered for first-year entry. The Ghanaian Higher National Diploma may also be considered for advanced entry on a case by case basis.
