The minimum academic requirement for admission to this research degree programme is normally an Upper Second Class Honours degree in a cognate physical sciences or engineering discipline from a UK or ROI HE provider, or an equivalent qualification acceptable to the University. Students who have completed a 2 or 3 year Bachelor degree with good grades followed by a good Masters degree will be considered on an individual basis.

UK Lower Second-Class Honours (2:2)

Applicants should normally have a Masters degree from a recognised university with a CGPA 3.0/4.

Applicants holding a four-year Bachelor degree from Public Universities or selected Private institutions (see list below) with CGPA 3.0/4.0 or B/60% will also be considered.

Students who have completed a 2 or 3 year Bachelor degree with good grades followed by a good Masters degree will be considered on an individual basis.
